This music video came on while I was drinking my coffee this morning. I just don’t get it. If there’s one thing I don’t like it is forced quirkiness. I feel so out of the loop with a lot of new music and I have no idea who this guy is, but he is absolutely prepackaged cookie cutter teenie bopper corporate money maker. I sat through the music video just because I was so confused. The lyrics lack any kind of substance. I just don’t get it. Don’t get me wrong, I think everyone is entitled to the types of music they enjoy, but really? How is this any different from any boy band ever? Atleast the boy bands are honest about who they are. Is he supposed to be different because he has tattoos, hipster clothes, and an emo hair cut? Forced quirkiness. It’s just so unoriginal. Maybe I would have understood it at 17, even liked it…but at 22, not so much.
